OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– Thousands of fanatic Israeli settlers were gearing up to storm the Aqsa Mosque Thursday to celebrate the Jewish Passover fiesta and offer oblations inside it Palestinian sources cautioned.
According to the sources thousands of fanatic Jewish settlers were seen gathering at the Buraq plaza near the Magharba gate west of the Aqsa Mosque in preparation to enter it and celebrate the fiesta.
Heavy traffic was reported in the old town of the occupied city of Jerusalem due to the swarms of Jewish settlers; but Hebrew sources revealed that Israeli occupation police will allow entry into the city to holders of “special permits” only.
Muslim scholars and institutions including the Aqsa foundation that caters for the holy shrines in occupied Palestine among other institutions were alerted by the event and invited Palestinian Jerusalemites and those in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands to head to the Mosque and defend it.
According to the foundation in statement it made to the PIC calls from fanatic Jewish groups to storm the Mosque and offer the oblations inside it mounted over the past couple of days under full support from the Israeli occupation government.
At dawn Wednesday around 60 heavily guarded Israeli settlers desecrated sanctity of the Mosque under full protection from the IOF troops.
Few weeks ago the IOA started demolition works at the Magharba gate alleging it was renovating an old road leading to it but Palestinian sources and leaders affirmed that the excavations were part of an Israeli scheme to seize and judaize the Mosque.
In 1994 the IOA decided to divide the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city between Muslims and Jewish settlers which justified Muslims’ concerns over possible replication of the measure at the Aqsa Mosque.
