The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) prevented the mother of the injured Palestinian detainee Omar al-Abd who carried out an anti-occupation attack from talking to the press.
The IOA released al-Abd’s mother on Friday evening on a 10000-shekel bail.
Al-Abd’s family said the mother had been placed under a de facto gag order by the IOA and that she will have to pay 10000 shekels in case she talks to the press about her detention and the investigation procedure.
The family spoke out against such an arbitrary media blackout which they said make part of underway attempts to keep Israel’s crimes under wraps.
