Newlywed youth kidnapped by PA forces from Bethlehem

Thursday 17-November-2016

The Palestinian Authority (PA) forces kidnapped a 26-year-old ex-prisoner from northern Bethlehem city a few days after he tied the knot.

A PIC news correspondent said the PA intelligence officers in Bethlehem summoned the groom Ibrahim Fuad al-Adawin to questioning and promised to release him in a few hours. However Ibrahim has not gone back home and has been held in custody.

Prior to his wedding Ibrahim had been questioned on a daily basis for a period of one week. The PA officers seized his private belongings and arrested him a few days after his wedding ceremony.

Ibrahim had been incarcerated for three years in Israeli occupation jails on charges of involvement in anti-occupation activism with Hamas resistance movement. He had also been previously held in PA jails.

Newlywed Ibrahim is also the brother of the anti-occupation fighter Mohamed al-Adawin sentenced by the Israeli occupation authorities to 18 years in jail last week.
