Nine Palestinians kidnapped in W. Bank IOF campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday carried out violent raids on Palestinian homes and made arbitrary arrests during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources nine Palestinians five of them from Salfit were kidnapped from their homes in the West Bank.

During its campaigns the IOF ransacked homes and summoned several citizens for interrogation.

The Israeli army for its part admitted in a statement that its forces arrested nine Palestinians accused of being involved in activities against Israel.

It said that its forces confiscated thousands of shekels during raids on homes in Ramallah city claiming the seized money belonged to a Palestinian resistance faction.

The IOF also claimed that its forces were attacked with Molotov cocktails during their presence in Qabatyia south of Jenin.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Wednesday kidnapped nine Palestinian citizens including a senior Hamas official during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources an Israeli military force stormed the house of Sheikh Bajes Nakhleh a noted Hamas figure in al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah and rounded him up.

The IOF also raided a house in Kafr Malik town northeast of Ramallah and kidnapped a young man called Ahmed Abu Jamil.

Two young men were taken prisoners during an IOF campaign in Silwad town east of Ramallah. One of them is the brother of martyr Anas Hammad who carried out a car-ramming attack two years ago.

IOF campaigns also took place in Qalqilya city Qaffin town near Tulkarem and Taqua town in Bethlehem.

In Jerusalem Israeli policemen raided neighborhoods in the Old City and handed some young men summonses for interrogation.
