The Palestinian Authority (PA) health ministry on Monday accused the Israeli occupation authority of refusing to allow into the besieged Gaza Strip some 2000 coronavirus vaccine doses destined for health workers.
The health ministry said it had planned to send the Russian Sputnik V doses to Gaza but Israel blocked their transfer.
Health minister Mai al-Kaila in a statement held Israel fully responsible for “this arbitrary measure” and affirmed her ministry was coordinating with international organizations to facilitate the delivery of the vaccine shipment as soon as possible.
