Palestinian prisoner Jawad Jawarish on Monday started an open-ended hunger strike in protest at depriving him of meeting his two detained brothers.
Prisoner Jawad who is serving a life imprisonment sentence has spent 22 years in Israeli jails.
Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority identified his siblings as Abdullah Jawarish and Arabi Jawarish who were arrested on the 7th of August 2022.
In a related development the detained brothers Ahmad Mousa and Addal Mousa continue their hunger strike for the 29th day in row in protest at their administrative detention.
Spokesperson of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority Hassan Abd Rabbo told WAFA news agency that prisoner Ahmad Mousa who is being held in Ramleh prison clinic suffers from heart and kidney diseases. He added that prisoner Ahmad had undergone open heart surgery.
