The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs in Nablus organized on Monday a solidarity rally with Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in Israeli jails.
Dozens of Palestinian civilians and families of the prisoners participated in the rally and demanded their release especially the sick prisoners.
Samer Samara the Head of Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs in Nablus said that more than four captives were on hunger strike pointing out that these strikes are individual.
Samara stressed in a statement to the PIC reporter the need to exert efforts on the part of factions and the Palestinian Authority to support the case of prisoners and to obtain their freedom without them having to endanger their lives in such strikes.
For his part Nasr Abu Jaish Palestine popular party member emphasized during a speech the importance of supporting prisoners in their battle for dignity.
Abu Jaish criticized the lack of sufficient support regarding prisoners adding that the media play a significant role in exposing the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian captives including the policy of administrative detention.
