A group of Jewish settlers recently deployed some mobile homes on annexed land in Deir al-Hatab town east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank as a prelude to establishing a new outpost.
Deit al-Hatab chief Abdul-Kareem Hussein said that three mobile homes were set up during the last two days in an area near the high school in the town adding that the local residents avoided to stay in the area near the school or in the nearby park because of the presence of security officers from the illegal settlement of Elon Moreh.
Hussein said that the area where the new outpost would be established is called al-Ein al-Kabira.
He pointed out that Israel had already annexed about 8000 dunums of land from the town in order to expand Elon Moreh settlement.
