Top Hamas leaders meet Egypt’s intelligence chief in Cairo

In an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect a high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by head of its political bureau Ismail Haneyya held a meeting on Tuesday with Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Cairo.

The two sides discussed many important issues including political and field developments the bilateral relations and the efforts to heal the national rift in the Palestinian arena and rearrange the Palestinian house as well as the situation in Gaza and the Israeli violations in Occupied Jerusalem.

During the meeting the Hamas leadership reiterated its appreciation to Egypt for its great supportive role towards the Palestinian people and their national cause and its keenness on maintaining contact with the Movement.

The Hamas leadership also expressed its congratulations to the Egyptian presidency government and people on the anniversary of the October war victories.

The Hamas delegation includes head of the political bureau Ismail Haneyya and heads of the Movement Yehya Sinwar (Gaza) Saleh al-Aruri (West Bank) and Khaled Mishaal (abroad) as well as other members of the political bureau.
