TULKAREM (PIC)– Israeli intelligence officers in Tulkarem north of the West Bank have been trying to lure Palestinian teenagers into working as agents in return for lucrative incentives.
Citizens in the city told the PIC reporter that the campaign targeted Palestinian youngsters in the age category 16 to 20 asking them to report to the intelligence in the civil administration office in Tulkarem where they meet with intelligence officers who table the offers.
They pointed out that the Israeli intelligence hands the concerned youth the notification personally and refuses to hand it to any other relative and come back for this purpose if he was not present at his home.
One of those young men told the PIC reporter that the intelligence officer handed him the notification and when he went there he was offered the job telling him that it was in the interest of the people and that it was aimed at sparing bloodshed.
He warned that youngsters might weaken before such temptation and asked the community to fight the phenomenon.
