RAMALLAH (PIC)– The popular front for the liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has held the PA Ramallah authority under ex-PA chief Mahmoud Abbas fully responsible for the Israeli arrest of PFLP secretary general Ahmed Saadat and his comrades.
In a statement issued on Saturday on the third anniversary of Saadat’s abduction at the hands of Israeli soldiers from the PA-controlled Jericho prison the PFLP described Saadat’s subsequent trial as a “farce”.
The Front strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ “piracy” with the collusion of the “American and British administrations”.
It held the PA responsible for the IOA planned abduction of Saadat and his comrades from Jericho prison when it concealed the American and British administrations’ decision to withdraw their guards from the jail and did not act to protect Saadat before arrival of the IOF troops.
The PFLP hailed its secretary general and his heroic comrades’ proud stand at their trial hearings and urged the Palestinian people along with the official Palestinian and Arab institutions to seriously act through international institutions to demand the release of Saadat and his comrades.
