GAZA (PIC)– The international campaign to release kidnapped Palestinian MPs asked the European parliament’s president to necessarily act to pressure the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) into retracting its decision on deporting the Jerusalemite deputies.
The campaign said in a message to Jerzy Buzek the president of the European parliament said that his parliament should adopt practical measures against the IOA violation of those deputies’ immunity.
It said that the three deputies are experiencing difficult living conditions in the sit-in tent pitched in the Red Cross headquarters in occupied Jerusalem for 39th day running.
The campaign described the IOA deportation decision as political par excellence and charged that the insistence on deporting those deputies and continued detention of other MPs was in implementation of a clear goal aimed at terminating Palestinian legitimacy.
