RAMALLAH (PIC)– Hamas MPs have condemned the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for detaining Kifah Awni at midnight Saturday after surrounding her house and causing damage to it.
The lawmakers held the Israeli government fully responsible for her life and any other abuse she may have been exposed to.
The MPs said in a statement on Sunday that Israel’s persistence in violation of Palestinians especially arrests of women is one of the prime results of the Arab decision to resume direct talks with Israel other than being a blatant violation on the rights of the Palestinian people.
Kifah Awni a mother of two children who suffer from chronic health conditions and who has undergone two surgical operations and is in need of constant medical treatment is a social activist who was also subjected to much harassment by Palestinian security forces.
