JENIN (PIC)– Abbas’s militia stormed on Thursday afternoon the student accommodation of the American university in Jenin and kidnapped seven students affiliated with the Islamic bloc the academic wing of Hamas.
The storming took place only hours after student blocs decided to withdraw from the student council which is dominated by the Shabiba the academic wing of Fatah protesting the “totalitarianism of the Shabiba and its policy of isolating other student blocs.”
The militia stormed two student accommodation blocks and kidnapped three students from the first one in the Zababda village east of Jenin after ransacking the building. Four other students were kidnapped from another student accommodation bloc.
Student blocs affiliated with Hamas the PFLP the DFLP and the Islamic Jihad announced their withdrawal from the student council citing “the policy of isolation and dictatorship practiced by the Sabiba against other student blocs” as the reason for their withdrawal.
