GAZA (PIC)– The number of Palestinians killed during the IOF incursion into the Shejaeyyah neighbourhood in Gaza city has risen to four after three of the wounded were declared clinically dead.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC correspondent that about twenty IOF tanks and military bulldozers rolled into the Shejaeyyah neighbourhood and that IOF troops occupied houses in the neighbourhood while IOF bulldozers bulldozed areas of land in the neighbourhood.
The Palestinian resistance spearheaded by the Qassam Brigades clashed with the invading troops.
One of the bulldozers overturned according to eyewitnesses and resistance fighters showered it with bullets other IOF vehicles were trying to reach it to save those riding aboard it.
The Qassam Brigades said that its snipers managed to hit two IOF soldiers one of them taking position in a Palestinian home and the other near al-Salam mosque. The Brigades also announced that its fighters managed to put one tank out of action and to target others using home made missiles.
Local sources confirmed that the IOF troops withdrew after meeting stiff resistance from the lightly armed Palestinian resistance fighters.
The Qassam Brigades said that one of its fighters fell when IOF troops fired an artillery missile at a group of Palestinian resistance fighters confronting the invading troops. Another Qassam fighter was killed and two others were wounded when an IOF drone fired a missile at a group of resistance fighters standing outside a tyre-repair shop in Shejaeyyah.
