IPA deprives 10 Jerusalemite detainees of family visits

RAMALLAH (PIC)– The Israeli prisons authority is depriving ten Jerusalemite detainees in Ramon desert prison including a blind prisoner from family visits without giving any reason.

The Ramon prison administration also isolated a Jerusalemite prisoner a few days ago and confiscated his personal messages photos and other belongings.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation authority on Sunday extended the administrative detention of Palestinian writer Ibrahim Abul Haija for six months for the fifth consecutive time.

Family members of Abul Haija said that they were expecting his release impatiently after two years in administrative custody without trial or charge.

Fuad Al-Khafsh a specialist in prisoners’ affairs said that Abul Haija is a prominent name in the media field and had written many analytical articles.

Abul Haija has also his feats in the charitable and social work as he is heading the UAE charitable works and contributed in opening orphanages and schools in Palestine in addition to the reconstruction of Jenin refugee camp and supplied prisoners with clothes food and covers.

Abul Haija 35 is married and has three sons and obtained an MA in political science from Al-Najah University in Nablus.
