CAIRO (PIC)– Hamas supreme leader Khaled Mishaal conferred with PA chief and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas in Cairo on Wednesday evening on implementation of the reconciliation agreement.
Well informed Palestinian sources told the PIC that both leaders met shortly after their arrival in Cairo on Wednesday evening to complete discussion of the reconciliation process.
They also discussed the meeting on Thursday in Cairo for general secretaries of all Palestinian factions that is expected to focus on restructuring the PLO as stipulated in the 2005 Cairo declaration and the 2011 agreement.
The Palestinian factions held a meeting in Cairo on Tuesday during which they agreed on a mechanism for implementing the reconciliation agreement.
