IOF troops round up 14 Palestinians

WEST BANK (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rounded up 14 Palestinians in the West Bank in storming operations that focused on northern and southern areas on Wednesday.

The Israeli radio said that the detainees were wanted for interrogation but would not mention locations of their arrest.

Local sources said that two citizens were beaten up by IOF soldiers in Al-Khalil adding that they were hospitalized in moderate condition.

They reported that two were detained in Edhna village north of Al-Khalil and three others in Jenin refugee camp.

The sources noted that the soldiers used stun grenades in the raids and searched homes.

NABLUS (PIC)– IOF soldiers rounded up at an early hour Saturday 14 Palestinian citizens in Nablus and Al-Khalil on suspicion of supporting resistance against occupation.

Local sources in Nablus said that the IOF troops stormed at dawn Saturday the Old City and broke into a number of homes before arresting six civilians.

The IOF troops in Al-Khalil district also on Saturday rounded up eight Palestinians in Al-Fawar and Arub refugee camps in addition to Yatta village.

Witnesses noted that young men engaged the invading troops throwing stones and empty bottles at them in Fawar refugee camp.

In the Gaza Strip the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement took the credit for firing two mortar shells at the Israeli military outpost in Kissufim on Friday in retaliation to IOF violations of the truce.

For its part the AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction said that it blasted a 40-kilogram explosive device in an Israeli gunboat off the northern coast of the Strip also in reprisal to Israeli truce violations in lines of the Palestinian people and their holy shrines.
