CAIRO (PIC)– Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya conferred with Islamic Jihad secretary general Dr. Ramadan Shallah and his deputy Ziyad Nakhale on latest Palestinian and regional developments in Cairo on Thursday.
The premier’s office said that the discussion also tackled the reconciliation process noting that both parties agreed on importance of joint cooperation to achieve Palestinian aspiration of independence freedom and return.
Haneyya who arrived in Cairo on Monday for a few days to discuss Gaza issues and reconciliation also met with Dr. Salah Sultan the secretary of Quds committee in the international Muslim scholars association.
Sultan said in a terse statement to the PIC reporter that Haneyya would attend the Friday congregation in Al-Azhar then deliver a statement on the Aqsa mosque before leading a one-million man demonstration under the theme of “Save the Aqsa”.
