CAIRO (PIC)– The meeting between political bureau chairman of Hamas Khaled Mishaal and PA chief and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas was postponed to an indefinite date.
Mohammed Nasr political bureau member of Hamas was quoted by London-based Al-Hayat newspaper published on Thursday as saying that the postponement was at the request of Abbas.
He said that agenda of the meeting included Palestinian developments in general topped by reconciliation issues especially the government formation which was supposed to be completed by end of January.
The meeting was slated to be held in Cairo on Thursday.
For his part Fatah MP Azzam Al-Ahmed the head of Fatah delegation to the reconciliation talks said in a press statement on Wednesday that the meeting would be held in the first half of February.
