AMMAN (PIC)– Political bureau chairman of Hamas Khaled Mishaal arrived in Jordan on Sunday in the company of Qatari Crown Prince Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and went from the airport to Raghadan palace for a meeting with King Abdullah II.
Other members of the Hamas delegation including deputy political bureau chairman Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk and political bureau members Sami Khater Ezzet Al-Resheq Mohammed Nasr and Mohammed Nazzal who arrived in Amman on Saturday night would join them in the palace.
Well informed sources told the PIC that the itinerary of Mishaal and his colleagues would be defined following his meeting with the Jordanian monarch mainly whether he would meet other Jordanian officials or would be limited to the royal meeting.
The royal court’s supervision over the visit displayed a royal concern with the visit the sources said adding that the meeting with the King would be historic.
This is the first official visit for Mishaal to Jordan since he and four other senior Hamas colleagues were deported from Jordan in 1999 to Qatar.
