Friday 20-January-2012

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– Two Palestinian children were wounded on Friday afternoon in the village of Janba to the south east of Yatta near al-Khalil as a result of the explosion of a suspicious object thought to be a leftover of the IOF.

Hafeth Al-Harini coordinator of the popular committees in east Yatta said that Lua’i Rebei (11years) and Ahmad Rebei (13 years) were wounded as a result of the explosion of a suspicious object left over by the IOF. He added that the two children were taken by the occupation authorities to Soroka hospital in Birsheba.

The area were the accident took place is an area used by the local Palestinian community to as grazing grounds for their livestock but the IOF often use it as a military training ground and leave unexploded objects without paying attention to the danger this poses to Palestinian shepherds or their livestock.
