GAZA (PIC)– Agriculture minister in the Palestinian caretaker government Mohamed Ramadan al-Agha has condemned uprooting trees deliberately on Saturday by some Israeli settlers under IOF troops’ escort to replant them near their houses in “Ami Aad” settlement outpost.
Press sources mentioned that Zionist settlers had uprooted nearly 300 olive trees belonging to Palestinians and planted them again within “Ami Aad” settlement in Nablus.
“The IOA follow new settlement methods in order to control as much as it can over areas in the West Bank especially Palestinian farmers’ lands after the IOA annexed thousands of hectares for the benefit of the apartheid wall” the minister Agha stated in a press release.
Agha confirmed that “all the staff of his ministry assume their duties as usual despite the mass destruction sustained by the ministry headquarters at the hands of unruly security elements pointing out that the ministry staff along with volunteers extended their hands to refurbish the ministry.
He also condemned uprooting hundreds of hectares in the Qarara area north of Khan Younis by the IOF troops during their latest incursion into that area in the Gaza Strip calling on international human rights agencies to intervene immediately and urgently to deter the Zionist occupation from destroying the agricultural lands in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
