RAMALLAH (PIC)– The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine announced its reservations on three basic issues included in the final statement of the PLO’s central council which concluded on Thursday night in Ramallah that was also met with vast criticism in the Palestinian arena.
In a statement issued by the Front it expressed its reservation on the of PA chief Mahmoud Abbas’s declaration on the formation of an “emergency enforcement government” because “it does not address or solve the national problem but rather aggravates crises and divisions”.
In addition the PFLP also expressed its reservation on the Security Council resolution No. 242 which recognizes Israel and which had been endorsed in the Palestinian National Council session held in 1988 and was then rejected by the Front.
The Front also voiced its rejection of holding an “international peace conference” for the implementation of the Arab peace initiative which the Front had refused because it infringes on the Palestinian refugees’ right of return and provides free pre-concessions including normalization with the Hebrew state.
