BEIT HANOUN (PIC)– IOF troops wounded on Friday a Palestinian young man while working in his field in Beit Hanoun and a boy while playing to the east of Jabalya refugee camp.
Dr. Muaweyah Hasanin Director General of Emergency Services at the PA Health Ministry said that a unit of Israeli special forces fired at Imad Tawfiq Wahdan (27) while he was working in his family’s field and wounded him in the chest.
Wahdan was taken to Martyr Kamal Odwan hospital for treatment where his condition was described as moderate to serious.
Dr. Hasanin added that Wahdan is hearing and speech impaired and was helping his father in their farm.
A Palestinian boy was also wounded Friday at noon when IOF troops opened fire at a group of Palestinian children playing at the Abu Safeyya neighborhood to the east of Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip according to Palestinian medical sources.
Dr. Muaweyah Hasanin said the IOF troops did not allow an ambulance to reach the scene and instead they arrested the wounded boy and took him away.
The identity of the boy is not yet known neither is the place to which he was taken or whether he would be treated for his wounds.
Last Friday IOF troops killed two Palestinian boys in Beit Lahya when they opened fire at a group of Palestinian boys who were playing at the site of the evacuated colony of Dughit.
