Thursday 7-June-2007

NABLUS (PIC)– Palestinian resistance fighters at dawn Thursday engaged IOF troops that invaded the city of Nablus and nearby refugee camps and blasted cement cubes and rocks blocking entry into the Old City.

Tens of IOF armored vehicles stormed a number of Nablus suburbs at 0100 am local time and exploded those barricades inflicting severe damage to nearby shops.

A group affiliated with the AMB the armed wing of Fatah faction said it blasted a roadside bomb in one of the IOF vehicles in downtown Nablus and exchanged fire with the invasion forces.

Other IOF units broke into the Balata and Asker refugee camps east of Nablus where they were met with resistance fire but no casualties were reported.

IOF special units on Wednesday kidnapped a Hamas activist from his place of work in Tulkarm after beating him locals reported adding that Abdul Latif Hamdan 27 was taken from his carpentry and that the soldiers also beat up a 17-year-old boy who was present in the same place.

Hamdan was released from occupation jails less than a year ago after spending 20 months in detention for membership in Hamas Movement. He is married and has three children. Hamdan would thus join his brother Mohammed 24 who is serving 8 and half years in occupation prisons on charges of membership in the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas.

In Gaza the Qassam Brigades fired three mortar shells at a group of IOF soldiers near Nahal Uz settlement east of Gaza city.

The Nasser Salahuddin Brigades also took the credit for firing a new Nasser-4 missile at Ashkelon occupied in 1948.

Both armed wings said that the attacks were in retaliation to the incessant IOF crimes in lines of the Palestinian people.
