DAMASCUS (PIC)– Ezzet Al-Resheq the political bureau member of the Hamas Movement has denied presence of an Egyptian proposal to hold a new international conference on the Palestine cause.
Resheq said that the Egyptian officials have asked representatives of Palestinian factions who were invited to Cairo to present their vision on means of establishing an independent Palestinian state and whether that could be done through negotiations with Israeli occupation directly or indirectly through a third party and finally whether a new international conference might be needed in this respect.
The last question was one of many items discussed during the talks that also included means of stabilizing the ceasefire between Hamas and Fatah the security mess in PA-run lands reactivating the PLO and the calm with Israel Resheq explained in a press release.
He noted that dialogue was ongoing between Fatah and Hamas representatives in the Palestinian lands on the security conditions and the rehabilitation of PA security apparatuses.
