Tamimi condemns Jewish edict allowing killing of innocent Palestinians

Sunday 3-June-2007

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi the chief Islamic justice in Palestine has condemned Jewish edicts and official statements justifying the IOF troops’ killing of innocent Palestinian civilians.

Tamimi said that such edicts coupled with statements by Israeli ministers contravened all heavenly and earthly laws in addition to international conventions and human rights while reflecting a “spiteful racist hatred that despises peace and coexistence”.

He urged the international quartet committee the world community and the UN Security Council to denounce those edicts and to pressure the Israeli occupation government so as not to follow the fanatic Jewish edicts that call for violence blood shedding and ignoring peace calls which threaten “a disastrous religious war in the region”.

The former chief rabbi of Israel Mordechai Eliyahu has recently issued an edict allowing the occupation government to launch a military campaigns against the Gaza Strip saying that killing Palestinian civilians in the process was “legitimate”.

The rabbi sent a message carrying his edict to the Israeli government few days before its session allocated to discuss expanding military operations in Gaza saying that it was important to act against the Strip even if it led to the shedding of innocent blood.
