GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian fighters from Hamas’ armed wing the Qassam Brigades (QB) have succeeded in trapping an IOF unit that sneaked into the city of Beit Hanun north of Gaza Strip before surrounding and shooting at least two locally-made RPG projectiles at them.
According to a military communiqué issued by the Brigades and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC the Israeli force sneaked into the city in the dark and took position in one of the abandoned Palestinian homes in the city before the QB fighters encircled and stunned them with the two projectiles.
The communiqué furthermore affirmed that a number of casualties were recorded in the IOF troops’ lines as a result of the attack before the QB men safely retreated from the place.
Ten minutes before the execution of that “qualitative” operation in Beit Hanun the QB artillery unit succeeded in firing at least 13 homemade 80-mm mortar shells at IOF troops near the crossing point of Kerem Shalom southeast of Gaza Strip the QB statement pointed out.
The Israeli settlement of Sdeort in the 1948-occupied Palestinian Negev desert was also hit with a single Qassam rocket despite the intensive hovering of the Israeli Apache choppers in Gaza sky.
Another Qassam missile was also fired Tuesday night at the Israeli settlement of Miftahim located in the 1948 occupied lands east of Rafah district.
The QB affirmed that its missile attacks against IOF positions and Israeli colonies in occupied Palestine were in retaliation to the incessant IOF troops’ crimes against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Tens of Palestinian civilians were killed and close to 200 were wounded many of them in critical condition as a result of the relentless IOF bombarding of Palestinian homes in the Strip legal reports and local security sources affirmed.
