GAZA (PIC)– Ismail Haneyya the PA Premier conducted a series of telephone contacts with a number of Lebanese officials and discussed with them the latest developments in Nahr el-Bared camp in northern Lebanon especially the tragic human conditions and ways to solve the problem in the camp.
According to an official statement Haneyya made calls with the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud the Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora and the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri where they briefed him on the latest updates in the Nahr el-Bared camp.
During his calls the PA premier highlighted the Palestinian people’s support for preserving Lebanon’s sovereignty and security and the need to protect the Palestinian people in the refugee camps.
Haneyya also underlined the need to spare the Palestinian camps armed confrontations and the need to tackle the human conditions that resulted from the recent armed clashes in the Nahr el-Bared as soon as possible. He also stressed the urgency of forming a joint follow-up commission of both sides to find quick solutions to the crisis in the camp.
