Monday 21-May-2007

GAZA (PIC)– Ismail Haneyya the PA premier on Monday stressed that the Palestinian people had the full right to resist occupation of their lands describing resistance as the best means to get rid of “Zionist occupation”.

Haneyya was speaking at the Omari Mosque in Gaza city at the start of the funeral procession of eight Palestinian martyrs who were killed at a late hour Sunday in an Israeli missile raid that targeted the home of Hamas leader MP Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya.

The premier hailed the Palestinian people’s steadfastness in face of the western-led siege that exceeded one year vowing to continue along the road of resistance until achieving final victory and liberation.

He told his audience who numbered in thousands that the ministerial posts meant nothing for his Movement and that Hamas was more concerned with preserving Palestinian blood.

Haneyya finally expressed solidarity with Dr. Hayya who is the chairman of the Hamas-affiliated parliamentary bloc and who lost seven of his family members in this raid and extended condolences to the Hayya Fayumi and Farwana families that lost a number of their relatives in Sunday’s IOF raids.
