GAZA (PIC)– IOF tanks and artilleries stationed at the northern borders of Gaza Strip have unleashed at least one land-to-land rocket at a training site for the Hamas Movement in Beit Lahia city local sources and eyewitnesses revealed Thursday.
According to the sources the shelling directly targeted one of the training camps of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas in the city but they affirmed no causalities were reported in the incident.
At least four IOF military vehicles and five bulldozers have also advanced for a short distance into the eastern part of Jabalia city in northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli Apache choppers were seen intensively hovering over the Gaza Strip apparently in search for a target to hit amidst Israeli official threats of intensifying targeting of the QB fighters and leaders.
The QB for its part fired at least five of its locally-made Qassam rockets at the Israeli settlement of Sderot which was built on Palestinian lands usurped in 1948.
The QB affirmed in a communiqué it issued that the missile assault was in retaliation to the IOF aerial bombarding of the headquarters of the executive force in Rafah city south of Gaza Strip Wednesday that claimed at least four Palestinian lives and wounded 35 others.
On Wednesday the QB paid the IOF troops back and fired tens of the Qassam missiles on the said settlement in retaliation to the persistent killing of innocent Palestinian citizens at the hands of those troops.
In the West Bank Israeli intelligence elements kidnapped Palestinian citizen Murad Awad Rashayda after summoning him to their office in Bethlehem city before taking him to an unidentified location Palestinian security sources confirmed.
In addition the Hebrew radio quoted Israeli military sources as affirming the arrest of nine Palestinian citizens at the hands of the IOF troops in different parts of the West Bank including Nablus and Qalqilia cities among other Palestinian cities.
However Palestinian resistance fighters let not the IOF atrocities go easy as they attacked an IOF patrol and peppered it with machinegun bullets in the Palestinian refugee camp of Balata in Nablus district.
The IOF sources acknowledged the ambush but alleged that it had inflicted no casualties in the IOF troops’ lines.
