GAZA, (PIC)
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has entered its 54th consecutive day on Wednesday, coinciding with the sixth day of temporary humanitarian ceasefire, during which the airstrikes have halted but the Israeli violations continue through the launching of artillery shells by its warships towards the beaches of Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah. Additionally, military and reconnaissance aircraft have been observed, while awaiting the release of the sixth batch of prisoners as part of the partial exchange deal.
The PIC correspondent reported that the occupation’s warships fired sound bombs targeting the coast of Khan Younis and Deir al-Balah.
He mentioned that the occupation tanks sporadically fired in the northwestern axis of Gaza.
Searching for missing persons
Meanwhile, the civil defense and volunteer citizens continue to search for the missing persons under the rubble of destroyed homes in accessible areas, calling for the entry of experts and equipment to assist in the process of recovering bodies and removing the rubble.
Rescue and ambulance crews, along with volunteers in the Gaza Strip, have recovered 160 martyrs from under the rubble, streets, and roads during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of martyrs since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7th to more than 15,000, including more than 6,150 children and over 4,000 women.
List of Detainees
Hebrew media outlets quoted the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, Wednesday, confirming the receipt of a new list of detainees in the Gaza Strip for release.
This will be the sixth group of Israeli prisoners and detainees in Gaza to be released since the temporary ceasefire began last Friday.
On November 24th, the temporary ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian factions went into effect for a period of 4 days, under Qatari and Egyptian sponsorship. It was then renewed for two additional days, ending this evening, amid reports of intensive efforts to extend the ceasefire and reach a comprehensive deal.
