Palestinian resistance fighters survive IOF assassination attempt

BEIT HANOUN (PIC)– A group of Palestinian resistance fighters survived on Sunday morning an Israeli assassination attempt while trying to launch a batch of homemade rockets from Beit Hanoun northern Gaza Strip at Israeli targets.

Local sources said that none of the group members a combination of Al-Quds Brigades and the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades was hurt in the Israeli aircraft missile attack.

Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli US-made Apache helicopter flying over northern Gaza Strip at low altitudes launched a missile that hit a civilian car parked at the scene.

Ambulances rushed to the scene and did not find any casualty after a search in the area and according to eyewitnesses the resistance fighters who were seen preparing a number of homemade missiles managed to withdraw immediately when they felt being spotted by the Israeli helicopter.

BEIT HANUN (PIC)– A group of Palestinian resistance fighters on Monday survived an assassination attempt by IOF reconnaissance plane that fired a missile at their car in northern Gaza.

Witnesses told PIC that the drone fired a missile at a minibus at the entrance to Beit Hanun city in northern Gaza but the fighters affiliated with the Quds Brigades the armed wing of Islamic Jihad managed to jump out of the vehicle before the missile slammed into it.

They said that one of the passersby was injured in the missile explosion. Medical sources described his injuries as slight.

The Quds Brigades fighters had fired earlier Monday a number of missiles at Israeli settlements north of the Gaza Strip that injured a number of Israelis.

BEIT HANUN (PIC)– A group of Palestinian fighters affiliated with the Islamic Jihad Movement’s armed wing the Quds Brigades on Tuesday escaped unharmed from an Israeli assassination attempt in Beit Hanun town north of the Gaza Strip.

Sources in the armed wing said that the group members fired a salvo of locally made Quds rockets at Sderot settlement in the Negev and only seconds later Israeli forces stationed just outside the northern tip of the Strip fired a land-to-land missile at them.

Ambulance cars rushed to the scene but the group members managed to flee the area without any casualty the sources said noting that Israeli reconnaissance planes were hovering over the Strip since the early morning hours.

In south of the Strip the same armed wing said that its fighters lured an IOF unit into an ambush east of Khuza’a village Khan Younis district.

The resistance fighters blasted a land mine in the IOF unit that was drawn into the area overnight Monday before clashing with its members the Quds Brigades said affirming that casualties were inflicted in lines of the Israeli soldiers.

In the West Bank IOF soldiers continued their usual kidnap of Palestinian citizens and rounded up 23 civilians on Tuesday nine of them from occupied Jerusalem on allegation of belonging to or supporting resistance factions.

The Hebrew radio quoted an IOF spokesman as saying that the nine Jerusalemites were Hamas and Islamic Jihad activists who regularly attacked Israeli guards of the separation wall north of Jerusalem.
