The spokesman for Hamas’s Qassam Brigades Abu Obeida said that the group fighters attacked and took out of service about 1,000 Israeli vehicles since October 7.
“We destroyed or disabled 1,000 Israeli military vehicles, and we carried out hundreds of operations against the occupation,” he said.
In his first televised appearance for several weeks, marking the 100th day since the outbreak of the war, Abu Obeida said many of the Israeli captives “may have been killed” amid a deadly Israeli offensive on Gaza.
“Many of the captives may have likely been killed, while the rest are in imminent danger every hour,” Abu Obeida said.
The spokesman stressed that Israel is fully responsible for the safety of the Israeli captives.
He added, “Any talks before stopping the Israeli aggression are worthless.”
The Oct. 7 cross-border attack into Israel came in response to 100 years of “massacres against our people carried out by the occupier and its gangs,” he added.
“All the weapons we use are ones Qassam has made itself,” he noted.
Speaking on the possibility of an expansion of attacks, Abu Obeida added that the group had been told by “several parties in the resistance fronts that they will expand their strikes on the Israeli enemy in the coming days.”
This is Abu Obeida’s first appearance in person in a prerecorded message since November 23.
