GAZA (PIC)– PA premier Ismail Haneyya Saturday night agreed on the security plan’s procedural measures with his interior minister Hani Al-Kawasmi in the presence of a number of his security advisors after thorough discussion of that plan.
Dr. Ghazi Hamad the PA government spokesman said that an agreement was reached during the meeting on starting procedural steps in implementing the security plan that was tabled by the interior ministry three weeks ago and gained the government’s blessing after a number of amendments.
Hamad said that a meeting will be held soon for the joint operations room to discuss the plan’s execution and added that Haneyya briefed PA chief Mahmoud Abbas on content of the meeting which Abbas welcomed and reiterated full backing to the plan.
Kawasmi has not yet withdrawn his resignation since he was not granted full authority to carry out the plan. He earlier said that an important part of his demands was not yet realized which he asked the premier to materialize in order to move ahead in the plan.
