Qatari premier and foreign minister Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani has said that the war in Gaza should come to an immediate stop without any prior conditions.

He told a press conference, held on Saturday on the periphery of the Munich Security Conference in Germany, that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is “miserable”, especially in Rafah which is crammed with hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians.

Al Thani expressed hope that agreement would be reached within the few coming days if both parties (Hamas and Israel) solved a number of pending issues.

“Time is not on our side,” the Qatari premier said, adding that war should come to an immediate end the soonest.

He said that ending the war would entail the release of prisoners, adding that there is no new development on the issue of the two-state solution.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year leading to the fall of thousands of civilian casualties mostly women and children in addition to vast destruction.
