GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movements have formed a joint committee to coordinate and unite stands towards various issues in the Palestinian arena a senior Jihad official revealed.
Daoud Shihab the Jihad spokesman in the Gaza Strip said in a press release on Tuesday that the higher committee was formed out of him and Ayman Taha from Hamas and added that it receives direct orders from Hamas leader Khaled Mishaal and Jihad leader Dr. Ramadan Shallah.
Shihab said that the committee was trying to bridge the gap between the two movements in the field noting that practical results would be imminently announced.
He said that both movements would soon declare their rapprochement to the press.
The spokesman finally asserted that his movement was against granting Israel a free truce while it continues daily aggressions against the Palestinian people.
