Two Palestinian resistance fighters survive IOF assassination attempt

JENIN (PIC)– Two Palestinian resistance fighters on Sunday survived an IOF assassination attempt in Jenin refugee camp but a number of civilians including a child and a girl were wounded in the IOF shooting.

Local sources said that an IOF disguised unit ambushed the two fighters affiliated with the Quds Brigade the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement and fired at them but they managed to flee the scene unharmed.

Witnesses in the camp said that fierce clashes erupted between resistance fighters and the invasion troops who rushed to back up their unit amidst intensive firing.

They added that the shooting wounded a young man a child and a girl and noted that IOF soldiers at dawn Sunday kidnapped a member in the Quds Brigades after wounding him.

In Qalqilia the IOF troops sealed off the entire city after kidnapping two young men from it local sources said adding that the soldiers launched a combing operation east of Qalqilia.

In Salfit IOF units attacked an intermediate school for girls in Eskaka village using teargas locals reported.

They said that many schoolgirls fainted and others suffocated and were rushed to hospital. The sources said that the soldiers imposed a curfew on the village and closed all entrances leading in and out of it.

The soldiers claim that a Molotov cocktail was hurled at one of its patrols near the village.
