The Youth Media Center launched a campaign called “From Gaza to the World” aimed to convey the voice of field journalists working in the Gaza Strip via translating their reports and works into foreign languages, especially English, for publication on various social media platforms.
Announcing the campaign, the head of the center Ibrahim Muqbil explained that this campaign aims at spreading the news of Gaza to the outside world, especially when the Israeli occupation forces were preventing foreign journalists from reaching the war-torn Gaza Strip.
In his speech during the initiative’s announcement, Muqbil elaborated that works will be received directly via the campaign’s WhatsApp group, to be translated, edited, and then referred to journalists again for publication.
He asserted that many volunteers are offering to participate in translating and producing clips for journalists and activists, welcoming contributions to any effort that would enhance the spread of media messages from Gaza.
Muqbil called on journalists and activists to take part in spreading Gaza’s voice to the world as a national duty and a way of supporting the Palestinian narrative in light of the ongoing genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation army against the Palestinian people in various forms.
