A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set up some tents on a swath of Palestinian-owned land in Beitillu town, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Monday morning.

According to local sources, dozens of settlers escorted by soldiers swarmed Mount Mustafa al-Ali in the village and pitched some tents with Israeli flags on top of them.

Local residents described the settler tents in the area as a new illegal outpost.

Last Saturday, a horde of settlers set fire to swaths of Palestinian agricultural land in Turmus Ayya village in Ramallah, causing a large-scale damage to trees.

Extremist settlers living illegally in the area have been preventing Turmus Ayya villagers from accessing their lands for months, resulting in the overgrowth of weeds in olive groves.
