The Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements have called for the escalation of resistance operations in Occupied Jerusalem in response to the extremist Israeli minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir’s latest remarks urging Israelis to practice Talmudic rituals at Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards.
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas confirmed that “Ben-Gvir’s statements require a comprehensive Arab and Islamic action to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to deter this attack led by the new Nazis.”
In the same context, the Hamas official Abdel Hakim Hanini, in a press statement on Wednesday, called on all members of the Palestinian resistance factions and all of the Palestinians in the West Bank, to mobilize and take action to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the ongoing Israeli attacks on it and other Israeli violations including land confiscation and home demolition.
For its part, the Islamic Jihad movement condemned, in a press release, Ben-Gvir’s statements, stressing that they aim at “committing more crimes and murder through defiling Islamic sanctities, which facilitates the process of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the Minister of National Security in the extremist Israeli occupation government, Itamar Ben-Gvir, announced that his government has changed the “status quo” in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, allowing Israelis to perform Talmudic prayers at the Muslims’ holy site.
