Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has said that the “criminal assassination” of Hamas’s political chief Ismail Haneyya is a “critical and serious turning point that will take the battle to new dimensions and will have major repercussion on the entire region.”
“The enemy has miscalculated the situation when it decided to expand the circle of its aggression, assassinate resistance leaders in different arenas and violate the sovereignty of countries,” al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Wednesday morning.
“[War] criminal Netanyahu, who is blinded by delusions of grandeur, is leading the occupation entity into an abyss and speeding up its collapse and its removal from the land of Palestine once and for all,” the Brigades added.
“It is time for this Zionist rampage to come to a halt. This raging enemy must be curbed and its mischievous hands cut off in order to deter it from persisting in its aggression,” the Brigades emphasized.
The Brigades called for necessarily supporting the Palestinian resistance “because it is the first line of defense for the entire Ummah.”
The Brigades mourned its leader Ismail Haneyya, saying he was martyred after a journey full of struggle and sacrifices.
The Brigades affirmed that Haneyya’s blood would be a beacon that lights the path of liberation and would not go in vain, vowing to make the Israeli occupation and its forces pay dearly for their war crimes in Gaza, the West Bank and 1948 occupied Palestine.
