The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Thursday that the children of Gaza are going through unspeakable atrocities.
They are living in trauma and shock due to 300 days of war, displacement, loss, and pain, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said in a post on X platforms.
They witnessed what no child should witness, he added.
Through sports, arts, drama, games and creating space to reunite with friends and making new ones, our teachers are providing a ray of light amid the darkness, the post reads.
“It’s a small contribution to help children reconnect with their robbed childhood.”
“Children of Gaza deserve safety. Once again, we call for a ceasefire now for their sake and all children across the region,” he added.
