Clashes erupted between Palestinian fighters and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) who stormed at dawn Saturday several areas in the West Bank governorates and blew up Palestinian houses in the West Bank city of Jenin on the fourth day of the Israeli aggression on the northern West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli occupation soldiers detonated a house belonging to the al-Azab family at al-Kharruba area in the city, while a Palestinian man was shot dead earlier on Friday by IOF gunfire in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its crews “face a great difficulty in responding to the appeals of the trapped Palestinians in the city of Jenin and its camp for the third day in a row.”
The sources further elaborated that IOF stormed the Jenin camp and detonated the homes of Palestinian citizens in the Al-Jabraiyat neighborhood adjacent to it, while the Jenin Battalion of Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said that its fighters blew up an explosive device in a military tank on the Jabariyat Street, causing injuries among the soldiers.
Clashes reportedly erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and the IOF soldiers after they stormed the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, while the occupation forces stormed the city of Tulkarem, Nur Shams camp, the city of Al-Khalil, the town of Hajjah, east of Qalqilya, and the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.
On August 28, the IOF launched a military operation, the broader since 2002, targeting resistance fighters in the cities of Jenin, Tulkarem and Tubas in the northern West Bank, which resulted in the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians and many wounded, in addition to destruction of homes and infrastructure.
