The Lebanese Health Ministry announced on Monday the martyrdom of 189 people and the injury of 700 others as a result of the violent Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

Earlier on Monday, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a second round of intense raids on the towns and villages of southern Lebanon, after the morning strikes that affected the south and the Bekaa region.

The Lebanese National Information Agency reported an Israeli airstrike on several buildings in Al-Kharyib and the town of Al-Saksakiya, resulting in more martyrs and wounded as Israeli warplanes continued shelling wide areas of southern Lebanon.

Lebanese sources reported that Israeli warplanes launched dozens of raids on the towns located in eastern and southern Lebanon, while the IOF ordered Lebanese civilians to evacuate any house used by Hezbollah.

The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that the Israeli occupation warplanes carried out more than 80 airstrikes within half an hour, targeting the areas and valleys between Mays Al-Jabal, Aitroun, Hala, Al-Taiba, Al-Taghra, Bani Hayyan, Jabal Al-Rayhan, and Al-Tufah region, in southern Lebanon, in addition to other areas in eastern Lebanon and the northern and western Bekaa.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Hezbollah expanded its counterattacks on Israeli settlements and military sites, in response to the latest Israeli airstrikes on the southern Lebanese villages that resulted in the injury of dozens of people and the displacement of thousands of others.

Hezbollah responded to the 250 Israeli strikes since Monday morning hours, by shelling Israeli military sites in Safad, Tiberias and other areas in the Galilee.

Hezbollah announced that it had hit with missiles the Israeli army’s Northern Command and the Galilee military base, adding that its missiles affected military industries complexes of Raphael in northern Haifa.

The Israeli channel 13 said five Israelis were wounded after a missile landed near the Golani junction in the lower Galilee.

Israeli media also reported that sirens were heard in the Golan, Safad and the vicinity of Nazareth, noting that many missiles fell in the upper Galilee and the Nazareth district.

The Israeli occupation army said it had monitored 35 missiles fired towards Safad and areas in the lower Galilee.
