The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs warned of the danger of normalizing the Jewish presence as a fait accompli in Al-Aqsa Mosque through the escalation of Israeli occupation forces and settlers’ attacks and offensives.
In its monthly report released on Tuesday on the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Ibrahimi Mosque and other sacred places, the ministry cited 21 incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque with the participation of 4,697 invading settlers, stressing that the Mosque has been witnessing ongoing excavation and Judaization operations in its vicinity.
The ministry explained in its report that “normalizing” the Jewish presence inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a flagrant violation of the status quo since its occupation in 1967.
The report indicated that the Israeli Ministry of Heritage funds the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa with $545,000.
It also indicated that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the call to prayer 69 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Al-Khalil in September, noting that the call to the dawn prayer was banned 19 consecutive times.
