The Israeli army continued its extensive war on Lebanon for the tenth consecutive day, launching more intense airstrikes on the southern suburb of the capital, Beirut. The official death toll has risen to 1,873.

Israeli warplanes conducted nine consecutive airstrikes within two hours on the southern suburb of Beirut early Wednesday, following warnings for residents of buildings in the area to evacuate immediately. The strikes targeted the areas of Hadath, Roueiss, Chouweifat, and Haret Hreik.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 55 people were martyred and 156 others injured due to Israeli airstrikes on various regions of Lebanon over the past 24 hours.

On Tuesday evening, the Lebanese Disaster Management Unit reported that the number of casualties from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since October 8 has reached 1,873 martyrs.

The government’s Disaster Risk Management Unit stated in its regular report that “the total number since the onset of events has risen to 1,873 martyrs and 9,134 injured.” It added, “The number of displaced people from areas under Israeli aggression has exceeded one million, including 155,600 registered in shelters.”

Israeli warplanes also launched a series of airstrikes on various areas in the Bekaa region of eastern Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon. The strikes affected the vicinity of Baalbek and several towns in the region, including Laboue, Talia, Sarin, Ain Bourday, and Rasem Hadath, targeting some buildings and fields, resulting in significant material damage.

For days, Israel has been carrying out intense airstrikes on the southern suburb of Beirut and southern and eastern Lebanon, which are considered areas of influence for Hezbollah. The most severe of these strikes occurred last Friday, which killed Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.

In the meantime, Israeli media reported that four ballistic missiles were launched from Lebanon, landing off the coast of Netanya, north of Tel Aviv. Hezbollah announced yesterday that it had fired “Fadi 4” missiles at the “Galilout” base affiliated with military intelligence “8200,” and the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, emphasizing that this is just the beginning.

Israeli emergency services reported that three people were injured, two of them with moderate injuries, due to the missile strikes in central Israel. Additionally, shrapnel from two missiles fell in Kfar Saba and the Eyal intersection in central Israel.

The Israeli army announced last Monday (September 30) the start of a focused ground operation inside Lebanese territory for the first time since 2006.
