Thousands of Jordanians demonstrated on Monday evening near the Israeli embassy in the capital city, Amman, in solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip, marking the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood.

In response to calls from the Islamic Movement and the Resistance Support Forum, the demonstrating Jordanians encircled the Israeli embassy in the Al-Rabiyeh area in support of the Palestinian resistance in the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle and in denunciation of the ongoing Israeli aggression and genocidal war in Gaza.

Thousands of Jordanians flocked after the evening prayer towards the Rabiyeh area, despite security barriers and closures in the vicinity of the embassy, where thousands gathered in the Al-Kalouti Mosque’s square and its environs, chanting slogans that hail the Palestinian resistance and condemn the official Arab silence towards the aggression.

Meanwhile, the Jordanian security forces fired tear gas canisters towards the crowds of protesters who tried to approach the embassy.

The participants saluted Palestine and the resistance, and demanded that borders be opened with the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation army, supported by the US and Europe, has been waging for a whole year a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, killing more than 41,909 citizens, wounding more than 97,303 others, and displacing 90% of the Strip’s population, according to local data.
