The Israeli army continued on Monday its bloody war on Lebanon for the 29th day in a row, with ongoing air and artillery shelling, as well as continued attempts of ground incursion amid fierce resistance from Hezbollah.

Several Lebanese villages and towns were hit by Israeli air and artillery bombardment as dozens of airstrikes hit the southern suburbs in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and Baalbek in the Bekaa, along with several raids that targeted other towns in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese News Agency reported that the number of raids on the southern suburb of Beirut reached 11 strikes that were focused on institutions, financial societies, and economic centers, including a raid near Rafic Hariri International Airport. Several buildings were completely destroyed due to Israeli airstrikes.

On Sunday evening, Israeli warplanes launched four raids on facilities in several neighborhoods in the southern suburb, while the Israeli army called on the residents of Lebanon to immediately evacuate houses located near important economic centers.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the Israeli strikes led to the martyrdom of 16 people and the injury of 59 others bringing the total number of martyrs to 2,464, and the injured to 11,530 since the beginning of the war.

The Lebanese Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abiad, said “the Israeli targeting of medical staff or pharmaceutical warehouses and stores is a rejected war crime,” stressing that “ceasefire is a must.”
